I’m Victoria, creator of Painted Peppermint, mum of two lively children, wife and lover of all things ceramic. Painted Peppermint was established in 2013 in response to the lack of local ceramic places especially non baby friendly ones to have your child(s) ceramic hand and footprint taken.
As a mother of two, I didn’t want the hassle of taking crawling babies into a pottery studio full of beautiful breakables and therefore decided to combine my love of ceramic art and motherhood and take the process on the road. With a love of street art, bold colours and all things ceramics I explored the business idea and attended various ceramic courses, developing techniques, testing colours and textures and creating designs. This followed quickly by attending structured baby and toddler groups (with Cecilia in tow) as a pop-up studio and mastering the perfect hand and footprint which balanced perfectly with motherhood.
After running a successful contemporary mobile ceramic studio the franchise model was created with the help from industry experts and our first Painted Peppermint franchise was piloted. Now due to demand our creative franchise covers many counties and continues to grow. The team and I continue to develop design and illustrate concepts which allow individuals to release their creativity and explore a business in the world of ceramics.
